FOR TESTERS

install it, run it for a week, tell me what you turned off

You have been sent three things by email: a TestFlight invite for the iPhone app, a link to the Mac app, and a relay key. Here is what to do with them.

  1. Mac app. Download it, open the zip, drag Exit·0 to Applications and open it. Allow the notification prompt. It appears in the menu bar as a small pixel face. Nothing else happens yet.
  2. Relay key. Click the menu bar face, choose Settings…, scroll to RELAY. Paste the address https://exit0-relay.vercel.app/api/apns and your key, then click SAVE. This is how your Mac sends pushes without an Apple key of its own.
  3. iPhone app. Install it from the TestFlight invite and open it. Setup asks for notifications, then finds your Mac over iCloud by itself. Both devices must be signed into the same Apple ID and the Mac app must be open. Then it sends a test push. If the phone buzzes, you are done.
  4. Use it. Run any Claude Code task in a terminal. The device shows it running, then DONE, IT BROKE or NEEDS YOU. Leave the Mac idle for three minutes and the phone takes over: a push, and a lock screen card that counts the run up.
  5. After a week, email me with one thing: what you turned off. Muted it, set it to fails only, hid the strip, stopped looking at the phone. That is where the design is wrong, and it is what I want to hear.
KNOWN LIMITS

what it does not do yet

  • Pushes go to the phone only when the Mac has been idle for the away time, three minutes by default. "Always send to the phone" in Settings turns that off.
  • Quiet hours are 23:00 to 07:00 by default. Pushes in that window arrive silently, except Needs you.
  • The Mac must be awake and the app open to send anything. A sleeping Mac sends nothing.
  • First builds run on macOS 15 and iOS 18 or later.
  • The Needs you and Crashed animations on the Mac are placeholders.
